pure new Jacob Sheep fleece wool. Called Jacob Velvet, from
the Natural Concepts Collection, this high quality product
is indeed unique. The soft pile yarn is produced from natural
colours of the Jacob fleece- no dyestuffs or chemicals are
used in production, therefore a truly natural carpet that
is totally British made.
Jacob Velvet comes in 3 natural colourways of the Jacob fleece,
Cream, Grey and Dark Brown, plus a new oatmealy Beige created
by blending the White Jacob wool with a very small percentage
of the rare Scottish Shetland Moorit breed. It is believed
this is the very first time in commercial carpet production
that the blending of the wools from different sheep breeds
has been used to achieve a totally natural colour.
Using modern spinning technology and two-folding the yarn,
this adds a further 5 unusual marl effects, making the total
choice of 9 colourways. Each is available in 4 metre widths,
and is suitable for Extra Heavy Domestic/Heavy Contract use.
